CLEAN BC GRANTS

CleanBC Better Homes is an online hub for people to access information, rebates and support to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in new and existing homes and buildings.

 

  • You may be eligible to receive enhanced rebates that covers up to 100% of your home upgrade costs.

  • Understand how multiple rebates can work together to increase energy efficiency of your home.

  • For quick reference, utilize their Better Homes BC Rebate Chart for a summary of all rebates currently available through the CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Programs.

FORTISBC NEW HOME

Receive rebates from FortisBC of up to $20,000 for for building your home to Step Code 4 or 5 levels, plus additonal rebates for electric appliances 

 

  • Energy Advisor Support Rebate of $1000

ENERGUIDE RATING

EnerGuide is the official Government of Canada mark associated with identifying a products energy consumption and energy efficiency. The distinctive EnerGuide rating system is a universally well known standard that gets applied on new vehicles, appliances, heating / cooling equipment, and houses that have been tested for energy efficiency. The intent of a EnerGuide home evaluation is to help you improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home.

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SERVICE

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Access To Financial Incentives - Obtaining an EnerGuide Home Evaluation gets you access to attractive financial incentives. When we complete the pre and post retrofit evaluation, you are eligible to receive $300 from CleanBC Better Homes and another $150 top up from select municipalities. That’s $450 in rebates going towards an existing home energy evaluation.

All Energy Adviser's that deliver the EnerGuide Rating System work within a strict code of ethics backed by the government of Canada. This ensures that every home is inspected and assessed through a third party verification process.  

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN AN ENERGUIDE EVALUATION?

In effectively measuring your homes energy performance, we start out by asking you about your goals for your home and any efficiency or comfort issues you’d like help solving. We then perform our on site evaluation where the following information is collected and executed:

 

 

What You'll Receive From Our EnerGuide Evaluation

Once our analysis has been complete, you will be provided with detailed information about your home’s energy performance. A post-retrofit evaluation is recommended after upgrades have been completed in order to properly showcase your homes revised and improved EnerGuide rating. This information is very advantageous if you ever decide to sell your home and take advantage of the available bonus rebates.

WHAT WILL YOU WILL RECEIVE?

 

EnerGuide Label

 

This label gets applied to your electrical panel where it identifies your homes rated energy consumption in Gigajoules (GJ) per year. 

Homeowner Information Sheet

 

Describes the home’s building assemblies and equipment as assessed on the day it was evaluated. It also illustrates how the home’s energy is used based on standard operating conditions and where the house loses its heat.

Renovation Upgrade Report

 

The upgrade recommendations are presented in the form of a easy to follow roadmap. You are provided with multiple output formats for understanding the recommendations.

Eligible Rebate Breakdown Report

 

We provide a detailed breakdown of the available energy improvement rebates your project would be eligible to receive.

 

Economics Analysis Report

 

This is an estimated forecast of your projected energy savings and annual utility costs over a 25 year economic outlook.
